Ismo tagged me, and I've never backed down to a meme tag. Actually, it's my first meme tag. I'm not even sure I'm pronouncing it correctly in my head as I type. Since I'm new to the Scribosphere, I'm not tagging anyone in response. Why risk making the new neighbors mad? Maybe next time. Instead, I'll rip a page from Scott the Reader's book and throw one out to all of you to respond to.

Four Films I'd Like To Rewrite For Whatever Reason
4 comments:
I think Andrew Niccol's "Gattaca" ranks as one of the best films of the 1990s.
However, I would love to rewrite both "S1m0ne" and "Lord of War": the films have interesting ideas and good basic structures, but they fail to deliver at a deeper level. They are too vanilla.
Jaws is also one of my favorite movies. It's perfect in pretty much every single way.
FOUR MOVIES I WISH I COULD RE-WRITE
ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES (1991)
MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL (1997)
WILD WILD WEST (1999)
CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954/2006?)
Cool idea.
I go into more detail about the four choices above on a post over on my silly site (and give you props and a link back here). It would be cool to see a lot of other responses (and the reasons for the choices offered).

Hi tom,
I've taken a leaf out of Brett's book and gone into more detail about my choices on my blog, but here they are:
Creep, The Warriors and When Brendan Met Trudy. Sorry to break the rule of four! I've also thrown one back out there of anyone wants to address this on their blog - the projects you would like to adapt. Just because I like making these kind of lists.
